The design of the Bridgestone Blizzak Spike 3 incorporates new tungsten carbide studs with an aluminium body to optimise contact pressure on ice, thus reducing road wear. Furthermore, the tread has been redesigned with 35% more studs compared to the previous model to further enhance its performance on ice.
Developed at Bridgestone's European Research and Development Centre in Italy, the Blizzak Spike 3 is the brand's first studded tyre tested in extreme winter conditions at the Vidsel Proving Ground in Sweden, near the Arctic Circle.
